Oh man it's been a minute since I last wrote here for you guys. I haven't had much interesting going on, only I got my Jeep back and started working at a coffee shop. It's crazy how time just flies by. I say this because just a month ago I took the Jeep on a road trip to Asheville NC and since then I'm now employed and a year older.
Speaking of Asheville, I'm just n love. I don't know what it is about being up there, but it just felt so right. As if the mountains were calling my name. Do you ever go somewhere and you feel the weight of living lift of your shoulders? Or where you can feel all the negative leave as soon as you cross that line into somewhere new? Well that's how being in Asheville felt for me.
I have thank Sadie and Nathan for opening their home to me for the night. The two of them are some of the coolest people you will ever meet. They are truly an inspiration. And their home was so chic. It was perfectly minimal, from plants and whisker baskets to framed sketched maps to the best collection of The Gentlewomen and Kinfolk to the most adorable bunny, Thimble (to which I may or may not be allergic to). Not every day you get to meet someone who you connect with on so many levels, and having had the opportunity to sit down and talk beliefs and our histories made my 1 day trip all the better.
Aside from having an amazing dinner with Asheville Folk, and having the opportunity to mingle and really connect with so many people who share o many common interest, I enjoyed the city itself. It was kind of rainy but I loved it because rain in the mountains makes you feel brand new in a way. It clears your mind. Thanks to Sadie ( Sadie Culberson a.k.a. One of the greatest photographers out there) I got to hit some really neat places. Urban Outfitters, High Five Coffee, Anthropology, the Chocolate Lounge, and this surprisingly big Antique shop I spotted. I love that a place like Asheville exist. There's at least one place you can go and feel like you're not being judged, you can be yourself unconditionally be loved for it.
